Distress Oxide Sprays by Ranger Ink are opaque, water-reactive dye and pigment ink fusions designed for mixed media, creating a chalky, weathered effect. When sprayed with water, the pigment and dye separate and oxidize, allowing for vibrant, layered effects on porous surfaces. They work on both light and dark cardstock.

Techniques and Tips:

• Shake Well: The pigment settles, so vigorous shaking is necessary before each use.
• Layering: Colors can be layered without becoming muddy, provided each layer dries first.
• Water Application: Spritz with water to activate the oxidation and create unique textures.
• Layer with Other Mediums: Combine with Distress Spray Stains (dye-based) or Mica Sprays for added shimmer and contrast.
• Cleaning: The nozzle can clog, so remove it and run it under warm water if necessary.
