These thimble-sized ink pads feature pigment-based ink that works well on a variety of materials including paper, fabric, unfinished wood, unglazed pottery, and leather. To use, insert your index finger into the hollow of the ink pad, remove the protective cap, and gently dab the ink onto a stamp or stencil. Their small size makes it easier to apply ink precisely to small stamps and to combine multiple colors on larger stamps.
Each set includes four ink pads inspired by traditional Japanese color combinations. They come in a wavy plastic tray that they sit in like beans in a pod. (Soramame is Japanese for "broad beans.") The clear plastic of the holder and ink pads makes it easy to see which pad is which, and a set of bean-shaped label stickers is also included. You can even tape multiple sets together using the included piece of double-sided tape to create a larger set.
Features:
- 4 ink pads.
- Pigment-based multi-surface ink.
- Plastic holding tray.
- Color-coded label stickers.
- Double-sided tape for attaching multiple trays together.
Notes:
- The plastic holding tray is approximately 2.3 cm wide, 9.0 cm long, and 1.3 cm tall. With the ink pads in the tray, the set is 3.5 cm tall.
- When using this ink on cotton fabric, wait for the ink to fully dry, then use an iron on the lowest temperature setting for about 15 seconds to heat-set the ink.
- When using this ink on wood or terracotta, dry with a hair dryer for about 10 minutes after application.
